This was polled off the NOAA site at app. 1:30pm 14-7-09. Rockford humidity is 45%. Kankakee 42% Peoria 52% Sprinfield 58%. It looks like the humidity is 10-16 degrees higher in Peoria and Sangamon Counties than in Kankakee County. What it doesn't explain is why the Rockford humidity is higher than Chicago?. Maybe it is the physical location of the collection sites?
I just looked at Atlanta, GA and their current humidity is 48%, does that mean Atlanta's humidity is lower than Peoria's? Orlando, Fl has a humidity of 54%, that mean Orlando has less humidity than Springfield?

Actually KS isn't bad for twisters, they get a lot of F1's out in western KS due to some geographical features which skews the #'s. No comparison to OK and parts of TX where you get the big boys.

I recall seeing that KS was no worse than Iowa and IL. (More southern and Central IL)

I lived not too far from SW Kansas, I remember the Pittsburg twister tnat made a big mess in that small city. I think even the U sustained some damage.

It means at this particular date and time humidity was 10-16 degrees higher in one particular area of Central Illinois than in Northern Illinois and not the same, or nearly the same, as you claimed.

The 7 day weather forecast has nothing to do with the amount of humidity at the time and date as noted. Therefore it is moot and so is the reference.
