Then there's that stinky Kraft plant down there. My wife used to live right near it. She can't eat Velveeta to this day.

Ford still operates an 80-year old manufacturing plant on the south side, although it underwent a major modernization a few years ago

Jeeze Louise, I forgot about Bunn! Der spouse loves Bunn better than any coffee maker we ever had. Would you believe Milnot is made in Seneca, Missouri?

Just this morning I bought a pair of pink flamingoes, still manufactured with pride by Nu-Dell in Des Plaines. They are the original, higher quality and better detailed than the imitators. And inside my lovely manufactured home (manufactured in Wisconsin), I have an authentic Lava-Lite, manufactured in Chicago. We are the cultural trend-setters for the nation.

I hate to admit I don't know what the pair of Pink flamingoes are, for sure, but I do remember well the Lava-Lite. I picked up one of those at Aldi's grocery store a couple of years ago before Xmas. They usually have some neat and original stuff that is inexpensive wtihout being cheap. The two best coats I bought in the last 15 years were from Aldi's and they cost $25 each,
