How about something positive for Rockford for once?
Just like any mid size city, Rockford has problems but I see it moving in a positive way. Downtown is coming back to life, slowly but surely. The city has grown some, some of the roads are being fixed and of course some are not. The West side still needs help. I'm glad to see that Auburn street is getting fixed up.

Rockford is a great place if you do not need a job and do not care about your surroundings. You can get a big cheap house, shop at walmart for recreation and eat at Mcdonalds for your nights out.

I was considering moving to Rockford as well, as part of my childhood I grew up in Belvidere. The positive thing is the very affordable housing in there, but I would have to agree without being too derogatory, that there is a need for jobs. Because part of the reason housing is so affordable is because no one is buying homes. As long as two years ago when I was looking for home up there, some of those houses are still for sale, and some really nice homes. So yes, I wish the situation in Rockford would improve, and it's not as bad as people make it out to be in my opinion. Try comparing it to the area where I am now, in metro-Orlando and I think Rockford is a fairly peaceful town without the headaches I get living in central Florida.

Rockford hasn't been one of the best manufactoring cities in the nation for 50 years.
What in the hell have you been doing with your life? Why haven't you created any jobs? Why haven't you solved any of these problems you consently ***** about? If Rockford is so bad, why haven't you gotten off your ass and moved somewhere better?
I know many people in Rockford who are millionaires. In fact, the number of people worth 50 million or more is astounding for a city it's size. Everyone I know makes 100K/yr or more. What's wrong with you? How is it that your supposidly so smart and yet you can't make it work for you? Are you just waiting for someone else to wipe your ass and solve your problems? Every post you make has LOSER written all over it. Have some pride. Make your mother proud and be a man and take responsibiliity for your situation and stop blaming everyone and everything for your sorry state of affairs.

everybody is entitled to their opinion about anybody... making online opinions about others is just as pointless as steering wheels on a scooter.... ohh just a lil bit of corrections " constantly, supposedly, and responsibility" did you learn how to spell from ur rich snobby friends? lol

I dont have an opinion about you I'm stating an observation about you:
A whinner who complains and complains about everyone and everything being the problem. A poor soul who thinks it's someone else's job to make your life better. Hell, I can't even spell but I can make a million dollars. What the **** is your excuse?

Taking responsibility for having the life you want is not pointless.
