Default Relocating to streator/ottawa area need rental info????

Me, my wife, and my son are moving to Streator, and I was hoping to get some information from someone who lives in the area about the people, rentals, and good or bad neighborhoods (if there are any). Most of all I need to know, about how much does a 2br apt go for? Or house?? Any info you have about Streator would be helpful. I'm moving to be closer to family. Probably sometime in October or November. THANX!!!!

I have not lived in that area for a number of years, but when I did I lived in Marseilles. It is a nice little farm town not far from Streator or Ottawa. I lived it. It was safe and the people were friendly. I wish I could be more help. Your family can probably tell you more than I can. Here is the local paper it has job ads and housing ads on the front page.

The few times Streator residents have chimed in around here, it's been to let the world know that Streator is a nasty, crime-ridden little mudhole. I guess I'd take their word for it and find somewhere else nearby to settle into.
