I was rebellious and got pulled over for speeding.

Now, i don't care about the fine i just don't want the damn thing to go on my insurance.

The cop said i can go to traffic school.

If i go to traffic school will ANYTHING show up on my driving record that my insurance company has access too?

As far as I know if you complete the class and don't get another ticket in 6 months then the county doesn't send it to the state. Now if you get another ticket then both end up on your record. You can also take the class on a yearly basis if you haven't had any other tickets in the past year.

I just got a speeding ticket too! I was going to fight it, but figured my time was more valuable. so, in kane county, you can pay extra, get court supervision and go to a 4 hour class. It does not show up on your insurance. I was accepted to the program, now I just have to wait for them to assign me to class. good luck. the ticket price increased because of wanting the supervision/class. it went from $75 to 120.

I used to sell insurance.....those dirty birds do have access to a lot of info don't they??!! But, if you take court supervision, the ticket isn't sent to the state unless you violate the rule and get another ticket within the time frame. Some counties set the limit at 3 months.

Another insurance related thing.....if a deer jumps out in front of you, hit the dang thing......don't swerve and miss....when you miss and wreck, it goes against you big time. And it's important to say the deer hit you. Always say I know that deer ran into my car so it gets in the police report. It's better if you find some red stuff and wipe a bit on your car so it looks like the deer got injured. LOL

Unless things have changed recently. It benefits the village that issued the ticket if you go to court and take supervision. If the ticket is not sent to the state the issuer keeps the fine and if the ticket is turned in to the state the fine is shared with the state.
