The FBI, the IBI, State Police and Springfield Police definitely worked together to assure all this turned out well. This person named Michael Finton should be convicted as if the building really was blown up. Local papers have said he could file a defense that he was entrapped. So what! Let him. See if an American jury will let him get away with it.

Finton has indicated he will be rewarded even if he receives the death penalty. (Illinois Gov. Ryan lifted the death penalty in Illinois but since this is Federal......) He considered bringing down the federal building a historic occasion and that he wants to die as a shaheed (Arabic for martyr). Good for him.....let him now be prosecuted by justice and liberty for all.

The Federal Building is downtown....across from Aaron Schrock's office and a wonderful Mexican eatery and an office on the other corner plus many people work in the Federal building. Our Federal building was named for Paul Findley and I think I read where this jerk didn't like things Paul Findley said about the mideast. What a tragic type of thing which could have happened on American soil. One has to wonder what makes people, who are Americans or wanting to live in American, turn into terrorists and join with foreign terrorists.

People come to America where Freedom is a part of our being and then some of these same people want to bomb our soil, bomb our citizens and worship those who would harm our existence. I vote to keep these terrorist type of people out of America....stay on their own soil and kill each other if they feel the urge to kill. Just my opinion.

The fact that places like Springfield, IL--or Oklahoma City for that matter--have been targeted by terrorists just shows that these attacks really could happen just about anywhere with a larger dot or star on the map.

I was living in OK when the Alfred Murrah building was bombed. It was horrible. It is too easy to do, and too many ways to do it.
