Another thread about rentals in Carbondale (or Marion) also... tax rates in IL?
I'm applying to SIU. I've never been to Carbondale and know absolutely nothing about the area other than what I've read online here and heard.
I'm looking for a rental in either Carbondale or Marion. Today I'm really just wanting to know about how much rentals cost. Specifically I want to know how much a 1000-1200 sq. ft. house in a decent part of town not very far from SIU would run.
Or a house in the country between Carbondale and Marion.
Also, I'd like some websites with pictures and prices if you know of any at all.
EDIT: Also, what are the state income tax and sales tax rates? I'm a native Tennessean and am not used to this BS income tax crap.
