Default Moving to Galesburg--need a realtor
Hi,

I'm considering moving to Galesburg, IL from Iowa City, IA to (hopefully) attend Carl Sandburg for the dental hygiene program.

We currently live in a condo, and this would be our first home-buying experience. Does anyone know of a good buyer's agent in Galesburg? I'm a little wary of working with listing agents who are bound to the interests of the seller, instead of us. Any referrals or general advice on buying a home for the first time, or buying a home in Galesburg would be very much appreciated! Thank you so much!!

Do a Bing or Google search for Galesburg Illinois realtors. Look for the one who has been establsihed the longest. These folks know the area best. Or better yet, take a trip to Galesburg and look around the area. You do not want to live too close to East Galesburg due to tornadoes. NW part of Galesburg is the best location. If you are going to buy, be sure the house has a useable basement. You may never need it, but if you do, it is awfully nice to have during tornado season.
