I went to school in Carrier Mills. It's gotten a lot better than it was in the 90s. Harrisburg school is descent, but running out of money. From the sounds of it, you will probably be going to the Hardin County school. It's consolidated. So is Gallatin county. Vienna is crap, stay clear.

For colleges around here, there's Southeastern Illinois College John a Logan and Shawnee community. they are really good for low income families who cant afford a 4-year straight out of high school. WHY OH WHY DID YOU MOVE DOWN HERE TO THE STICKS IS MY QUESTION lol. Either way I hope you enjoy the scenery.

Ahhh lol. I see. So is it your kids that might be going to school down here? SIU is the largest university in the area. It's in Carbondale. about 45 minutes - and hour away from Cave-in-rock. Not a bad school at all. I'm going there.

Check out New Simpson Hill District 32 near Ozark, Illinois. Their test scores in Math, Reading and Science from 4th grade through 8th grade are ALL higher than the state average scores.
