I believe also on 24 before getting on I57 is Metropolis Illinois, home of the Superman Museum.

Yes, Metropolis is on I-24.

However, Metropolis is nowhere close to being midway between Nashville and Madison, as the OP requested.

Not saying Google Maps is authoritative, but 3 routes are given between Nashville and Madison. 2 of them don't include I-57 at all, and the one that does only includes a small stretch between Effingham and Champaign.

Are you doing the drive in one day? What's you route around Chicago-we have some nasty construction projects going on and I-94 in So. WI is being completely rebuilt.

That's what I-39 is for.

I didn't say it was. Looks as though you're combining two separate issues I addressed, in two separate posts. One had to do with routings on Google Maps. The other with avoiding Chicago construction.

No spit Sherlock! I was asking (never got response) so I could suggest I-39. Since there was no response, I figured OP was comfortable with his/her routing.
AND you're the poster who started co-mingling:

Where in the post did OP ask for directions?

He didn't. I'm just wondering why he chose the route he did. And the co-mingling part wasn't addressed at you.

Why the hostility? Seems to be characteristic of you Chicago folks on here.
