Is anyone out there familiar with Bloomington real estate? What is the difference between Hawthorne, Hawthorne 2, and Hawthorne hills? Are they all similar or is one nicer than the other. So many of the houses seem overpriced. Which areas in Bloomington seem to be the nicer areas? We also looked at Sherwood but it seems far and away from everything. Didn't even see a grocery store.

Hawthorne Hills was built in the 80's east of Airport road and north of GE Road as the largest homes in B/N. Hawthorne II is the newer eastern expansion out to Towanda Barnes Road. Hawthorne Acres is the mege million dollar homes (only about a dozen) tucked in the middle. There is no such thing as "Hawthorne". It is a general term to describe the whole area.
