Hello, I am planning to move to Columbus indiana soon (before Oct,1,2007). Currently, I am searching for the apartment in Columbus and called to some leasing managers. Prior to making a decision, I will be happy to hear more information from whom live in Columbus. I checked out all threads related to Columbus. Some friends say that there are good apartments such as EastLake Woods and Westwood Pines etc.

However, I am a single male (fresh graduate) so that school district will be future concern for me. I am just fine if the apartment is close enough to company, grocery for 1-2 years, then I will consider about purchasing the house after marriage. The best possible option in my hand right now is, "Bloomfield apartments-2410 Sims Court #1 Columbus, IN 47203". The apartment looks good on website (rent.com).

If you hear anything related to this apartment, could you comment on it? Otherwise, could you provide me a suggestion which apartment is good for single? (for me, as a single, main concern is to minimize living expense.)

Also, I am looking for roommates to share two bed room apartment if "bloomfield" is good enough to live for short term (6 month-1~2yrs.). Is any local website there to find roommate in Columbus?

Any suggestion from you guys will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Avion

Do you mean those apartments next to the Marsh on 25th street? I drive by them a few times a week and to be honest, they don't look that great. The corner is very busy .. it just looks kind of shady to me. Sorry.

I've been living in Columbus since June, so my opinion is that of a new Columbus resident. I'd look in the Republic online (the local newspaper) to see if you can find something better.

Thank you for your reply, domergurl. Yes, the apartment is located in juction at 25th street and Marr Rd.

As a result of checking google satellite, it doesn't look decent, but I can't tell the apartment condition and safety in map or satellite views. However, I think that it might be better than my current place (near Detroit).

I will also check out "therepublic.com" to search apartment. If you guys come up with apartment sugggestion, could you please reply this thread?

Regards,
Avion

Default Apartments

Hello, we are new transplants to Columbus. I remember seeing Stonegate apartments, they are located on Wint lane and I believe they are newly built. I don't think there is a pool or tennis courts, but they seem to be in a fairly nice area. It's not too far from civilization and right across the street from a movie theater. I hope that you enjoy Columbus; we have felt so welcomed and are really enjoying our new home town!

I'll be moving to Columbus soon too.. hopefully before Oct as well... I've just been asking around about places to stay in Columbus and I think I'll go there and look at the places for myself before I decide.

I've also checked out therepublic.com, it seems that there are very limited townhouses available around the Columbus area. Is that true?
