I'm a guy looking to rent a small home in, or around Valpo and would welcome some local knowledge as to what areas of town are desirable and safe. I live in New England and have not been to Indiana in 40 years. Thanks in advance for your help!

Almost everywhere in Valpo is safe. There are nice neighborhoods in virtually every corner of Valpo. The only lower-income area that has some shabby housing is the Hilltop area directly south of downtown. Couple preliminary questions:
