My family and I will be relocating to Indiana due to my recent job transfer to Grissom ARB, IN. We initially thought about living in Kokomo due to proximity to Grissom, but then realized Kokomo is too far from anything we like to do (things to do in big cities). In addition, rental homes in Kokomo are currently slim to none.

We conducted additional research and decided to move closer to Indianapolis and I would just have to commute. We settled on Westfield, IN, due to it's good school ratings (elementary), proximity to Indianapolis and access to Hwy 31 for my commute to Grissom.

We are looking at moving in early/mid March and are looking for a rental home with the following qualities:

Rent: Max of $1300
Rooms: Minimum 3
Baths: Minimum 2
Garage: Minimum 2 car
Pets: Two small (toy) dogs
Location: Westfield, IN (prefer close to Hwy 31)

I will appreciate your assistance. Thanks in advance.

Westfield, Noblesville, Fishers - You won't go wrong with any of them. Have you ever lived in the midwest before? Have you ever lived in small towns before? How many kids? Ages?

Personally, I'd go with Noblesville - it's the county seat of Hamilton County or Wabash - the county seat of Wabash County. How much time have you spent driving around that area? Where do most of the people working at Grissom live?

We've lived in small towns before, but never in the mid-west. We have not visited Indiana before and won't have the opportunity until we arrive in early March. We have one 7 year-old son who will be attending public school. Most people who work at Grissom live in Kokomo, but as I stated before, rentals are very hard to find this time of the year plus we rather be closer to Indianapolis even if it means a longer commute for me.

did you look into Peru at all? I just find it incredibly hard to believe that there aren't any rental homes in Kokomo ....
