I am considering relocating to the L-ville area (for work) and ultimately buying a house in S IN. I visited a friend a few years who worked in Lville and lived in New Albany (although I wasn't impressed with that particular town) I know there are little towns where I can purchase a nice small, older house with a bit of land---I do NOT want a subdivision, cookie-cutter deal, and yet do the drive to LVille for work. Floyds Knobs seems to be a viable option. I should also mention that my priorities are to live away from the hustle and bustle and to purchase an affordable home
150k is my cap. Anyone else have suggestions? |

Scottsburg, IN area...just 29 miles up I-65 from Louisville, easy commute. The county has wireless broadband for telecommuters...for comparison...we just sold our 22 acre farm, brick home, new steel shop building, pond, fruit trees and more for $225K.

I would post this in the Louisville forums too. Floyds Knobs is a great little area. Don't discount New Albany..the town is making a slow but sure come back. If you have any questions about Louisville or its suburbs, feel free to PM me.

I have been searching all over southern IN as I plan on moving there in the spring of 08, and Henryville is affordable, has land and houses with character.
