Default Avon, Indiana

We live in Avon, Indiana, which is a west suburb of Indianapolis. We have lived here approximately 26 years and love the area. The people are friendly and very down to earth. Most people take good care of their property and the school system is good and there are many, many activities and things to do in the Indianapolis area.

Also, cost of living in the area is relatively low, compared to many other places in the country.

Home prices are very low now, as they have declined throughout most of the nation and interest rates are still low!

If you have a job or income, this may be a great time for you to move

Even though we are happy in our area and neighborhood, we will be moving in the future due to retirement and the desire to relocate to a warmer climate.

Good luck with your relocation!

Go to Greenwood - a south side suburb. If I'm going to move it will be there. BTW, I'm from Bloomington, IN.

Yep. It's called New York City and Los Angeles.

Hillarious! Although I would pick Chicago (and did) every day. That said why are we all trolling again? Oh, because I am bored (sitting in Indy currently).

OP: What are you looking for as far as work and socially. Do you have a family? I would say those things will make a difference. Comparing the north side to the west side of Indy varies from what I've seen and heard. The names I hear a lot are Avon, Brownsburg, Carmel (of course), and Franklin. I think I would want to go somewhere near Eagle Creek on the east side personally.
