There is a pretty clear video of a black panther that was filmed in Monroeville Indiana yesterday4/15/15 behind the marathon gas station. Would not have believed it if I had not seen it myself. Had heard from a number of other people that it had been seen before but was just hard to believe. We have horses so it is a bit concerning.

We have seen cougars in the remote settlement of Zoar, Indiana. This area is mostly reclaimed coal mining land and homes are sparce and clustered. There is also a large deer population here. I was on a remote road and came upon a cougar laying in the middle of the road in the shade. I know others who have also seen them in this area. Bobcats too. But no bear.

I personally seen one large black bear rolling on his massive back in a cut down corn field in kingsbury, Indiana. It's a wildlife reserve called the k.o.p. it was about two years ago. I didn't have a camera with me but I watched him frolic and eventually ramble off into the woods. I never seen him again

Keep your dogs and cats indoors or in fenced areas. Coyotes abound in Carmel . . . the middle of suburbia. i was at my desk mid day when a good size critter pranced right across the front yard and down the front walk . . . broad daylight! We have lost two felines . . . perhaps it was the bacon collar i put on one of them. kidding. i love our cats. sort of. but they are definitely now indoor only.
