If you like a town ran by a redneck, gustapo-like town board that enforces their wishes as a community standard upon others with a constant threat of legal action then you might like Middletown. To many people with old blood with no forward thinking at all. Many who moved from the larger cities to be in a small town atmosphere moving in and trying to create exacting what they wanted to escape by leaving the large cities.

Hey Fastlane, if you're looking for a place where you can park a 'large car' at night, there are some choice properties available near Pendleton. I was in the area house hunting about three weeks ago, and noticed several properties like that. A few looked really nice, although my health has cost me my CDL-A privileges, so I no longer need that parking option.

Default Anderson isn't a bad place...

It's what you make of it. I have trouble finding a sophist community that actually goes online, but I'm still keeping the faith.

Jobs can be had and more are on their way.

Thank goodness for these threads.

I have been scoping out all the areas around Indy and had pretty much come to the conclusion that Anderson might be a great place to live. There is a mobile home park there which has absolutely NO agricultural land surrounding or near it--meaning no worries about pesticides from crop dusting or dust from plowing floating into my moblie home--yet has a much lower space rent than what would be found closer to Indy.

However, when I read what city-data had to say about Anderson I found the crime rate there is stated to be over 3 times the national average. Not a good thing, so I came right over to the threads to see if this would be confirmed through discussion by those in the know.....and it does appear that Anderson, indeed, has a high rate of crime.....**sigh**......Oh well, somedays the candy, somedays the wrapper.

So it looks like I'll continue to be doing more research on just where around Indy I'd like to move to, and when I come up with another place that looks good, I know all I need to do to get an assessment of the town is simply come over here and read what someone has to say about the place....

Like I said......Thank goodness for these threads.....
