Wow, everyone's moving to Columbus. I love it here. I've been a resident for almost 2 months, now. All I can say about looking for an apartment is come and visit and check them out. It took me a month to find one I like with nice area an all. I, too, checked into those stonegate apartments. Pretty pricey, I'll say. 875 for 2 bedroom, ooch. Look into willowwood/applegate apt. There nice and reasonable.

I have to agree with Jer. I am enjoying and have not regretted moving here at all. It's a perfect place to raise a family. My kids have made so many friends so fast, faster than in the 4 years we lived in Fishers. I love being able to bike everywhere. The city puts on free concerts and festivals most weekends. The Scottish fest is coming up and I don't have big expectations, but I'm interested as heck to see what it's like.
I'm speaking as a mother of 3 young kids, so that clouds my opinions. If I were single, I don't know what I would think of Columbus.

I was looking through the republic's classified and there was a place listed called Columbus Village Townhomes. I tried to look for more information online but can't find it.
Anybody knows anything about this place? Is it new? Recommended?
Thanks.

Columbus Village Townhomes
Hello, here is a link for more information...
LoopNet - Columbus Village Townhomes, Garden/Low-Rise, Columbus, IN
The link is to a commercial real estate site, it seems that the complex is for sale. It doesn't have any rental information, but it does have a picture and some general information about the complex and apartments.

Thanks arossi.
I'll be visiting Columbus from Saturday till Wednesday. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a suitable place to live when I move there next month. I'll be sure to check out all the places you guys have mentioned.
Anybody has any other recommendation? Please let me know.
Also, many people talked about how nice Tipton Lakes is. I noticed there's another lake, Grandview Lake nearby. Is that a good place to live?
Thanks again. Looking forward to the trip!!!

When I was biking downtown yesterday, I noticed some for rent signs ... you may want to just scour the area as well as making appointments for seeing others.
Tipton and Grandview are very nice areas ... not sure if there is anything to rent there though.

I was in Columbus for 4 days and it was a great trip. Seems like Columbus has many festivals scheduled all year round. I was lucky enough to catch the downtown classic car show on Saturday.
Also, the 30+miles walking/biking trail around Columbus is pretty impressive.
I noticed that most of the nicer apartments, Stonegate, Eastlake Woods, Briarwood, Westwood Pines are almost 100% occupied this time of the year. A couple other decent places that do have vacancies are Steinhurst Manor and Quail Run, which are actually run by the same management company.
There's a couple other decent apartments , ie. Arbor's by water edge and prestwick square but they are affordable housing community so they have income restrictions.
Oh well, thank you all who've provided information to new transplants like me.
Looking forward to become a part of Columbus!!!
