Question Purdue-West Lafayette: biking/swimming and Spanish immersion

Two unrelated questions here...
We will be relocating to West Lafayette from California. My husband and I are Purdue graduates, and we enjoyed the campus and city while we were there. (20 years ago!) We have a family now so some questions come to mind...

Are there any Spanish immersion elementary school programs there? My children (who will be in second and fourth grade) have been in 100% Spanish immersion since kindergarten. (English at home...in fact neither my husband nor I know Spanish). I am investigating options for their continued Spanish schooling either as a supplement or 100%.

Second question...are there any neighborhoods in West Lafayette with access to biking or running paths? Or how about access to a swimmable body of water. I remember swimming in a lake for a triathalon in 1990, but I can't remember exactly where that was. I am hoping for safe biking, not necessarily long biking.

We are thrilled to get back to the midwest. After living in Asia, CA, East Coast, and Texas, it will be nice to be among midwestern folks. Yes, everyone where we have live has been nice, but the midwest has a certain kind of nice. We thought my husband's work was going to send us to Madison, WI so I had my heart set on biking safely with the kids from our back yard and perhaps swimming or sailing on the lake. I am looking for the West Lafayette/Lafayette translation of that idea. :-) Any ideas?

Thanks a ton!!

You could call the school systems to find out. I know that when we lived in Fishers, Lawrence Twp schools have a spanish immersion program starting in Kindergarten going through HS.

Here's a site from their parks and rec dept.:
