As far as jobs, statistics don't mean anything; it all depends on what field or type of job one's looking for.
When you're actually an adult and have entered the big-boy working work, then we'll talk.
Actually, come to think of it, I'd rather not.
Severe weather?
have you been to Texas or Oklahoma or anywhere in the great plains or along the coast with Hurricanes?
Or in Californiastan with the Earthquakes and risk of Tsunamis and wild fires.
Or the mountain west and wild fires.
or Seattle and Volcanos and Mudslides and a crap ton of rain.
Indiana does have severe weather but Southern Indiana isnt the hot bed that some other parts of the nation are.

Severe weather in Southern Indiana ...a tornado just a few months ago. Severe ice storm at Christmas & subsequent flooding. It caused countless accidents & the State Police shut down I-65. Sounds pretty severe to me.

Ice Storms can happen anywhere in the US.
Flordia can get them when a major cold front comes through during winter.
Its actually easier for flordia to get Ice than Snow.

Just because a specific type of weather happens in multiple states doesn't mean that it is therefore not severe.
Severe weather is severe because of the amount of damage it can do.
Saying that tornadoes in southern Indiana are not a risk because tornadoes also happen in Oklahoma and Texas is like saying cancer isn't a serious illness because many people have cancer. We're talking about the severity of damage that can and has been caused by severe weather in southern Indiana.

Southern Indiana did, does, and will have severe weather (that's the point I was trying to make), despite it's many living attractions.

Oh come on. I've lived in Florida. They don't get ice storms like Indiana gets.

And ice storms do not happen ANYWHERE in the US.

Are you kidding me?

TENNESSEE definately, I moved from Tennessee to Indiana and it has been the greatest mistake of my life. I just want to find another job there so I can go back. It seems no one will hire you though if you are not already living there, and I just don't have the money to up and just quit my job and go though.

Tennessee is just a great state

I am not trying to impress anyone, just telling the truth. Oh I forgot in this day and age everything is suppose to be sugar coated. So if this will help you any.......Why, Sir, I would move to Northwest Indiana, it is the greatest place to live, lots of jobs, and beautiful scenery, even with all the steel mills and sludge pits dotting our lakefront it is still very very pretty, such nice views with all the smoke stacks in the distance. Business is booming like never before.

So there you have it, do you feel any better. Why even ask a question if all your going to do is criticize the answer.

its called dont coat all of Northwest Indiana with 1 brush.
Munster is a very nice area.
Gary=not so much.
So dont brush all of Northwest Indiana the same. it depends on what area you are at.
Again Munster has some of the best schools in the state outside of the Indianapolis area.
Plus have you even been to Indianapolis? dont coat the entire state as Northwest Indiana until you visit Indy and get your mind changed.
