Purdue ... dear ... Tyrone Willingham graduated from Michigan State ... his alma mater, therefore is Michigan State University. From Udub's website:

Player Bio: Tyrone Willingham :: Football

Ty wanted out after his third loss to USC. And let's not forget, Ty wasn't ND's first choice either ... remember the George O'Leary fiasco? Ty knew he wasn't first choice. After he moved his family from California, they never liked living back in the midwest. His kids didn't like the schools and they hated the cold weather.

I remember after Ty was fired, all the major colleges started scrambling giving coaches big bucks and big extensions. I believe that Iowa's coach is now the highest paid coach in the NCAA and that was a result of Iowa not wanting their coach even tempted to go to ND ... how many programs can you say that about? I believe Boise State's coach did the same dang thing. Heck, even Urban Myer parlayed ND into a primo spot at Florida. He had no intention of ever going to ND (he'd have to play by the rules there).

Bottom line is this. I love love love how ND incites such emotion from everyone. You don't see people get this worked up over any other college program, even USC.

So keep it coming Purdue and faith ... it just goes to prove that the University of Notre Dame's football program, even in their worst, is still the most talked about football program in the country.

Support your teams I say, but don't belittle other teams. It will come back to bite you.

Oh wait, something just occured to me ... you are getting Ty mixed up with Charlie with regard to working for an alma mater! Charlie Weis is a domer! Charlie is working for HIS alma mater.

0-5!! Yeah baby. It looks like the Ir-ish are going to be 0-8 before they play a team they MIGHT have a chance against. It sure is fun watching ND football this year for those of us that despise the Ir-ish.

Season ticket holder for 10 straight years until this year when I moved from Indiana, and haven't missed watching a game this season. My passion for Purdue UNIVERSITY (not just football) is unwavering, much like my hatred for ND and the Cubs.

You Domers are getting testy......it's all in good fun, but when you dish it out, you've got to take some back too

I honestly can't say that I hate any team with the passion that I love ND. It pained me when the Colts beat my Bears for the superbowl, but the Colts played better and deserved to win. I just believe in supporting my team and I can take the ribbing, we ND fans love our team through thick and thin. We'll get through this season, we'll be back.

Go Cubs!!!
