Default Best Towns/Cities in certain Countys

Indianans! How about some experts in southern Indy

Looking for what would the best town/city be to live in for each county for someone looking to buy a home around 150k in a low crime area w/o HOA fees in these county's;
Spencer, Perry, Dubois, Martin, Warrick, Clay, Switzerland, Ohio.
Also have a stepson that needs to finish his last yr in high school.

Southwestern Indiana:

Warrick County - Newburgh has become the prominent suburb in the Evansville area. Only about 3000 live in the actual town of Newburgh; Ohio Township contains a lot of the new suburban stuff, and 37,000 people live in all of Ohio township; which includes parts of Chandler. Judging by what you've posted in the Indy forum, this is probably the area you will like the most, as it is the most "suburban" outside of the actual town limits of Newburgh. Castle High School has a good rep. I know quite a few of their alums.

Spencer County - predominantly rural, the largest town is Rockport with around 2000 people. It is quiet, though I have no idea if there are HOA neighborhoods anywhere. Holiday World and Lincoln State Park are in Spencer County. Heritage Hills has a good rep for a high school.

DuBois County - Jasper is in Dubois County; nice little town of 15,000 people. Huntingburg is smaller, at 6000 people. I don't know much about their HOA ready areas.

Perry County - pretty rural, and poorer than the other counties you listed

Thank you for the replies

Any more feedback for Jasper, Jackson and Morgan county's?
I believe the larger cites of three would be Rensselaer, Brownstown and Martinsville.

Any reason why Brown or Monroe aren't on the list?

Monroe you have Bloomington. Brown you have Nashville. Or you could be in between the 2? Columbus would get my vote, too. Jasper was mentioned to. That's a good one as well.
