Default Middletown,Indiana

If you like a town ran by a redneck, gustapo-like town board that enforces their wishes as a community standard upon others with a constant threat of legal action then you might like Middletown. To many people with old blood with no forward thinking at all. Many who moved from the larger cities to be in a small town atmosphere moving in and trying to create exacting what they wanted to escape by leaving the large cities.

Well you pretty much nailed that one on the head. However you forgot the overwhelming apathy with which the Town Council treats it's residents, businesses, and even the slow death of the Town itself through graft, corruption, and a total disregard for State and Federal regulations.

Default Wake up!!!

Let's face it when the (now deceased) Utilities Supervisor buys bottled water rather than drink that which he provides to the Town... somethings wrong. When the results of the daily water tests are falsified before being sent to the State... somethings wrong. Add in the fact the Town receives Grant Money from the State as part of the Well-head protection act, well... thats graft. *gasp*
I could go on about the embezzlement investigation... the officer charged with child pornography... but I think you have the idea. As for you residents of Middletown who might be reading this; the next time they stick that water report in your door, go to your sink, draw a glass of water, and get it tested yourself.

I personally moved to Middletown 4 years ago. I love living here. My kids like the schools and are doing well. Middletown has everything we need: grocery store, hardware store, pharmacy, several restaurants and a wonderful park. It is close to several larger cities for more options. I feel safe taking my evening walk. My children ride their bikes and walk all over town and never feel threatened. There is a new town board that started in January. I believe they are working to make our town better. I would recommend living here to anyone who wants a nice, peaceful place to call home.
