If you could live in any of Indiana's largest towns which one would you choose?

1. Indianapolis (830,000)
2. Fort Wayne (256,000)
3. Evansville (118,000)
4. South Bend (101,000)
5. Carmel (82,000)
6. Bloomington (81,000)
7. Hammond (81,000)
8. Gary (80,000)
9. Fishers (79,000)
10. Muncie (70,000)
11. Lafayette (68,000)
12. Terre Haute (61,000)
13. Kokomo (57,000; after 2011 annexation)
14. Anderson (56,000)

I would choose one of two. I may choose Kokomo because I Like the size it is, great school, great transportation, and compared to the rest of Indiana great likely hood of not getting hit by a tornado (if you exclude Indian Heights). Its also a fair distance from Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Dayton, Detroit, Chicago, Lafayette, and Marion.

I may also choose Layayette simply because it's a similar size to Kokomo, I don't want to live in a town too big that has tons of interstates traffic and people, but don't want to live in one that's so small everyone knows everyone like the town I currently live in, Greentown Indiana (about 9 miles east of Kokomo; about 3,000 people). Its not that bad of a town, just prefer a more modestly sized town.

I live in Indianapolis already and honestly, the rest of the state can go pound sand.

But for kicks and giggles, Bloomington or Columbus or Evansville.

Well Indianapolis isn't so great that the rest of the state can go pound sand. Everywhere in the city in the state has its positives, and every state has its negatives. Whether they're viewed as a negative or positive is a personal preference.

Indianapolis could make itself better, but hilljacks from other parts of the state seem intent on holding it back.

I could probably handle Bloomington, Lafayette or Fort Wayne. For small town life, I like Valparaiso. I sheepishly admit I've never been through Columbus, although I hear a lot of good things about it.

I liked living in Fort Wayne. I could definitely live there again if I wanted out of Indianapolis. It helps that it's a nice halfway point between all my family and friends from Indianapolis and northern Indiana.

I'm referring to our goober governor and others in the General Assembly who don't want to allow Indy to have any home rule in decisions on matters such as public transportation and government reorganization. The only government reorganization these cats seem to favor is the elimination of at-large seats on the C-C Council, which coincidentally are all currently held by Democrats.

To be fair, some of the goobers are Indy-area pols, one being my state senator.

I've lived in Ft. Wayne, Fishers, and Carmel. I have worked in Indianapolis, Kokomo, Anderson, Columbus, Bloomington, Evansville, Fishers and Terre Haute.

I would choose to live in Carmel, Bloomington or Ft. Wayne. I would not want to live in Terre Haute, Anderson, or Evansville.
