I knew it was too much to ask. People are trained to not answer the question
and instead preach. Thanks for the preachy remark!

A little defensive there??? When you ask something as inane as "is interracial dating popular" ... what am we supposed to say? "Well heck yea, it's popular" .. popular is such a silly word to use in this context. Is it accepted? Are there a lot of interracial couples in Indianapolis? That answer would be yes. Are there stupid people would would be judgemental and not accept an interracial couple? Yes. That's going to be anywhere.

Good luck to you.

Default wow

...talk about looking for a conflict!

I thought domergirl's response was perfectly legit. There are people everywhere who will look down on you for one thing or another. Trust me...I have an interracial family and live in Salt Lake City! You did make it sound like you were asking if its the "in" thing to do.

Are you asking whether it not it's accepted?

Are you asking this because you are in that type of relationship and are looking for a location where you are accepted?

Default rental

I would NOT tell people when applying for an apartment because yes you will get an apartment BUT it will limit where you get that apartment. There are other examples where OLD stereo typical racist comments will be heard. Once again there is also the STUDENT body in Indy and they are very tollerant of all I MEAN ALL situations. There is also the corperate greed going on for those outside they want to get therre and subjecate as soon as possible.

Situations I went through while I lived in INDY for 3 months influanced these comments.
