Nobleville
Can anybody tell me anything about Nobleville?
We made a house search there and it seems that housing is very affordable. My question is: Is Nobleville a nice, safe place with good/great school systems? Are the people living there nice? Is it a family place?
Thank you for your responses

NobleSville ... sorry ... is a great town. If you are commuting to Indianapolis, though, the commute can be a bit tiresome, but if you are coming from California, you won't notice too much at first. Noblesville is the county seat of Hamilton County, so it has a true, charming downtown area with shops around the square. The parks are wonderful, the schools are great. I have friends from the east coast who settled on Noblesville after looking in Zionsville, Carmel and Fishers, because Noblesville felt like a more down to earth real town to them. They haven't regretted their decision at all.

It really depends on what you are looking for. We personally lived in carmel for the past 6 years and always felt that it was the best of the northern suburbs, We are a mixed race couple and have young children. I didn't think Noblesville would be very welcoming for us. (personal opinion, of course).
Carmel tends to be packed with young professionals and a more liberal crowd.
If you are looking for good schools, have a look at Greatschools.com and see the school ratings for the areas. If you are looking for specialised education (gifted ed, etc) make sure to double check on that since not all school districts have programs. I know that Carmel had gifted ed available from 2nd grade but that was NOT the norm in the other suburbs.
All in all, I'd say that Noblesville is a pretty town with some very affordable housing but it is more the traditional Indiana town. If you had a chance to visit before deciding on where to move, that would probably be a good idea.

I really like Noblesville.
To me Noblesville is a great small town where everyone seems to have a direct interest in the community. The housing market is wonderful there. You can still find houses with land for modest amounts. The schools are good and the crime rate is minimal. The one drawback is it's not an easy commute to Indy. Not when compared to Carmel or Zionsville. Both are closer to Indy and both have Great school systems. Also, Carmel has the most impressive youth sports program I have ever been involved with. Carmel is the most desireable city in Indiana and is VERY family friendly. I am a Realtor in the Northern Indy Suburbs and have dealt with properties all over. You really can't go wrong here. If I can be of any assistance please let me know. This is a wonderful area and I hope you find the perfect home. Welcome and Good luck.

My family recently moved from Noblesville to Logansport. We loved Logansport as it was close to Indianapolis and most of the popular shopping areas. Noblesville has grown a bunch since we moved from there almost three years ago. They now have a movie Theatre, Best Buy, and several other stores. They are close to Westfield/Carmel which has an nive out door mall called Clay Terrace.
We still have friends in that area and we try to visit anytime we can. Noblesville is close to much of what is going on in Indiana. Conner Prairie is another fun place with the Symphony on the prairie in the summer weekends.
You won't regret moving to Noblesville, there are several great home builders in that area. The Schools are also great.

gamut.
Noblesville is pretty nice, it's the commute that might throw you off, and that depends on where you're going. Many people take 37 to 69 to 465, and those roads get packed in the AM. If you work on the north side of Indianapolis it might not be too bad.
Carmel does have great youth sports, but the school system is getting pretty big, to the point where it might be tough for kids to get a chance to participate in high school sports unless they're very good. This might not matter to you at all - it wouldn't matter to me much.
Because Noblesville was kind of off by itself before the explosion of Carmel and Fishers in the 70s through 90s, it still has a little broader mix of incomes, but I don't think there's a part of it that's unsafe or even run-down.
