Shocked to see nobody is talking about this storm we are having. Counties north of Hamilton are now upgraded to blizzard warnings. With the strong winds I was hoping it would knock off some of the wet snow on branches but no such luck. Hope the power lines and tree limbs don't start snapping.

Be safe Hoosiers.

We are all hunkered down hoping power stays on. Wont last long but it is dangerous. I came from Alaska and know just how dangerous it is for people who do not understand how to dress or have the clothes for it.

We are next to the Red Cross Shelter downtown and it is starting to fill. I tried to knock off the snow but it was too heavy and stuck tight. Lots of trees and branches will be down.

Good thing it will be over by end of week.

Note: Whole bus system closed down due to snow and temperatures.

You know it's pretty brutal when the state closes I-65 and I-94 down. 65 is closed between Lafayette and Gary. 94 is closed between the state line with IL and Michigan City.

I'm far enough south in Monroe County that we didn't get a lot of snow-maybe an inch or two. Lots of rain which is probably frozen under the snow at this point.

I just read that Indy is under a Code Red travel advisory until at least noon. This means all travel, except emergencies, is illegal. For all advisories and watches, here is the link:

Fox 59 is reporting some folks are calling wanting to know if the malls will be open in certain cities. They said mail will run today also I don't think they should make the mail folks be out even though they say "rain or shine, snow or sleet, we deliver your mail".

Frost bite can happen within 10 minutes of exposure be bundled up if you do go out folks which I hope you don't.

We only have a dusting, if that, down in Floyd County. Still pretty chilly though. I'm feeling for my friends in Indy for sure.

I'm in Lake County. We already had a few inches of snow on the ground. Add another 8 inches from this weekend. Then the wind making drifts that are above the hood of the car. Now the crazy temps today. It's currently -10 with a real feel of -40!!!! 80-94 and 65 are still closed even though if you look at traffic cams, there's some people saying screw it and driving anyways. Plows couldn't go out last night so many cities around here also have closed roads and said anyone that gets caught driving could get ticketed and if you get stuck, don't expect help right away. Emergency personnel are getting stuck. Plows are getting stuck.

We had mostly rain down here in Columbus, with maybe 3 inches of snow on top of the ice as of this morning. My temp gauge reads -10 as of now. Feels like home to me!
