I don't like Indiana by any means but if I had to pick a city I would say South Bend. They seem to have more diversity there, but still has it's share of rednecks. Ft. Wayne isn't too bad either. Indy is a joke. Evansville seemed alright too.

And it's Fishers and Carmel neck and neck! I've lived in one and live in the other now ... still like Columbus better than Fishers!

I am also NOT a fan of IN, but if I absolutely have to choose a city, I pick Mishawaka rather than South Bend (which is next to it). There's more to do in Mishawaka, and it's a bit cleaner.

South Bend, because of Notre Dame -- my former employer and the college I always wanted to attend. If I couldn't go to school there, I figured the next best thing was to work there. So I did.

I know, technically ND isn't in South Bend (ND has its own address, ZIP code, and telephone exchange, for those who don't know), but who doesn't associate the two?

Somebody actually voted for Gary?

Wish there were more selections for NW Indiana but I voted for beautiful Valparaiso
Its location just off the greater Chicagoland area, small college feel, old town square and closeness to Lake Michigan, make this small city ideal

Many of us were born & raised in Gary. I still call it home when someone asks where I'm from.

A couple of coworkers of mine were also born and raised in Gary. One black and one white. Although some would not believe it, both called it home and wished that Gary had the jobs so that they could live there.
