Default Irish Coffee Shop in Bloomington Indiana

Just checking to see if anyone from Bloomington would come to an Irish coffee shop in Downtown Bloomington if one was to open next year. Yes this is a hint that one is coming to Downtown area next year. I just want to see who all would be interested in coming into a small, quaint, locally owned coffee shop set in an Irish theme, Irish/Celtic music, live Irish musicians etc.
let me know what you all think!!!!!!

Celtic Quest Cafe

I went to Encore Cafe once when they had Celtic music, and it was fun. I was drinking a beer though, not coffee that night as I recall.
With the student population growing downtown, I think the concept might work. I would come at least once.

Maybe.....As I'm sure you know you will have a lot of competition. Off the top of my head I think of Soma, Daily Grind, Bakehouse, Starbucks, the B-ton Food Coop (formerly Encore), and I just read this week about another on that will open next year that will be run by a church. I might be missing one or two. Good Luck.

I loved the Daily Grind! They had this coffee from India that would kick my keester on those days (mainly fridays) where I needed a little jolt to get the ... well ... ok, ALCOHOL ... out of my system. ah, my grad school yute!

I loved Bloomingfoods and I always thought Runcible Spoon roasted a brewed great beans.

I meant Runcible Spoon. Daily Grind---man I'm showing my age! I don't think it's around anymore.

I used to love going to Bloomingfoods and getting a snack on my way home from classes, especially after a tough test! Now I occassionally go into the Eastside store since it's close to my office.

Do you guys remember the Two Bit Rush...I think that was the first coffee shop that I can remember. It was in Dunkirk Square.

Yes we are aware of Blomingfoods and the others. Yet while these are not TRUE coffee houses we will be. Plus with the large Irish population in the Bloomington area and our theme being Irish we anticapate being able to be very competitive in this market.
Also we are trying to set it up so that this Cafe generates as little trash as possible and recycles and and everything we can. We will be the ONLY Eco friendly Irish Coffee shop in Bloomington.

Default count us in

I know several people who would be interested in anything Irish related in general. I moved to Philly but am relocating back to Bloomington with an Irishman in tow. Coming form entire communities of Irish Catholics he was very disapointed in the lack of Irish anything in Bloomington AND thought the Irish Lion wasn't all that great *sigh.
If you get this thing rolling I'd love to be on an e-mailing list.

p.s. the eco friendly thing...definate kudos on that

I know, in a town this size you would think that there would be more Irish related stores, cafe's etc. I've already got an investor that is very excited about this whole thing. To start out we will not be serving any beer/wine. That Ill come at a later date. We are trying to minimize our start up costs, but that will definitely be in the plans for year 2.
All of our cups, straws, etc will all be eco friendly. We are committed to helping protect the environment.
