Hi everyone,
I'm accepting a temporary position at Notre Dame, and therefore I'm looking for an apartment for me and my family (wife and 2 yo baby). It seems the University Park Apartments are pretty nice, however, after a google search I got very positive and very negative reviews.
Does anyone have a good review about that place or could recommend another? I would like to find a place close to a bus line so I don't have to drive to work everyday.
Thanks

I don't know those apartments personally but the area is generally safe. My wife lived at Main Street Village when we were engaged. Those are just east of where you are looking and probably the nicest in the area but also the most expensive. There are several large apartments on the east side of Main that you could look at for an option. Don't leave valuables in your vehicles though. I spent the night at Main Street Village and lost the Alpine stereo deck out of my truck and I didn't even live there. Any apartment complex is subject to theft issues.

I would consider some of the apartment complexes on the far east side of Mishawaka along Douglas Road.

Check out the Pointe Apartments. They are in South Bend but not far from the campus. If I remember correctly there is a bus stop along the route. They are right next to the east race. I lived in them years ago. They have an underground garage and an elevator. Nice apartments.
