I am relocating to Indianapolis for some time.We are a indian family ,loves to eat fish.Where are the Bangaladeshi fish shops in IN,Carmel.Also,is there any public transportation in Carmel?

There is no public transit in Carmel. As for Bangladeshi fish shops, I'm pretty sure the closest place you'll find anything like that is Chicago. Check out Devon Ave. in West Ridge and Rogers Park, though even there I don't think you'll find exactly what you're looking for.

You'll have to get used to roundabouts if you aren't already but yes, driving is very easy in Carmel. Traffic is light outside of rush hour for the most part. Most of the roads outside the core of the city are only 2 lanes. There are a lot of speed traps as almost every road is 30mph even at the edge of town but as long as you don't have a lead foot, you'll be fine.

You might try Saraga or Van's Fish Market; both in the Lafayette Square area of Indianapolis.

Caplinger's (Caplinger's Fresh Catch) is my seafood vendor of choice in Indianapolis. It is off 75th and Shadeland.



No idea how these places compares to what you are looking for.

I agree with Toxic Toast; Saraga International Market should be your best bet, plus it has a wide selection of Indian/Middle eastern foods which should be worthwhile to visit.

Did you get the hilsa or rohu fish shop near Carmel Indiana? Please let me know. I moved here last week. But not seeing any such shop nearby. Disappointed
