Hi. I have am a mid-west native but have been transplanted to Florida for quite some time. I am considering moving to Hamilton county and opening a business that caters to a 3 year olds through pre-teen age group. I am trying to gauge the viability of such an endeavor. So, what is there to do in the Hamilton area for this age group? For those of you with kids, what do you do on the weekend to entertain them? What kind of indoor entertainment is available in the winter? Is Hamilton County a family oriented area with a healthy population of children? Any information is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hamilton County has a lot for kids to do. There's Gymboree in Carmel, a terrific Y in Fishers and the Carmel Performing Arts Center and Monon Center are tremendous. Noblesville, Fishers, Carmel & Westfield all have great parks and rec organizations. When we lived in Fishers, we used to go to the Fieldhouse in Fishers to play basketball in the winter ... that's just a little of what's available. Hamilton county also has several public libraries that offer programming for kids of all ages.
