Clinton, Indiana
Any info you could give me on this town. And any opinions on Clinton would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I remember it as a tiny traditional town with a great Italian Festival but heavily dependent on certain factories. Husband has been wondering for years whether these plants will stay open.
Note Pfizer in Vigo County just announced 600 jobs being laid off this year and the closing of an inhaled drug line. Many of those people will be lined up for jobs.

The workers have been idle since October. Hopefully they were already looking for new jobs just in case.

But they were hoping Pfizer would move another production line into the plant and put them back to work according to the newspaper. They are probably fairly highly paid (with benefits) employees. I know if Lilly closed the Clinton plant, you would have a large group to absorb also.

Yea, I know, it's a sad situation. You can't count on employment to be steady anywhere anymore.

housing in Clinton, Indiana
Anyone know what the current housing situation is like in Clinton. Are there decent homes for sale or rent? What's the shopping like and are there any restaurants? Does everyone go to Terre Haute for entertainment and shopping?
