Hello,
My Husband and I, and our 3 daughters are considering relocating to Martin County. He is active duty Navy currently and will be leaving the military in August of 2007. I am in the medical field. We are looking for information for Martin County. ( ie. Jobs, Schools, rental houses, entertainment, closest metro area, taxes...) We were from White County area prior to Military and are moving back home soon, just to a different area this time. Any info will be greatly appreciated. navywife81803 |

Hi Navy wife. I am also a navy wife. We love to visit Crane naval base in Martin county. They have a huge lake that we boat on and stay in cabins there. Check into it if you move there. As far as renting a home there- I would look in the local papers in that area there are usually rentals listed in them. The schools are pretty small town - which I personally like. We are moving to Greensburg soon. The closet metro area in Martin County would probably be Bloomington. But Martinsville has many stores and all the restaurants and fast food places in town. Good luck.
