The I-69....Good? Bad? No change?
What are some of your thoughts on the I-69?
Will it be all bad? All good? A mix of some negative impacts and some positive change?

I've never liked I69 just because where I get on the merge ramps are way less than adequate for getting up to 80mph to merge on and 90% of drives don't have the decency to let someone else on because they are usually too busy talking on the phone, listening to their headphones, putting on makeup, reading the paper, eating, or just being rude. If drivers would just learn to take it easy the number of accidents and reports of road rage would probably drop dramatically. Because everyone always has that "I'm late attitude", there is an easy fix for that! Leave earlier than 5 minutes.
But for the expansion, I have no clue. I try to avoid the interstate at all costs.

Are you talking about the extension down to Evansville and beyond? It will be great once that happens, getting to Evansville is a pain in the tush now.

My maternal family lives in and around Evansville and Southern Illinois while a lot of my paternal family lives on the north side of Indy and Madison County. I HATE HATE HATE US-41 and that I- 70 strech from the airport to Terre Haute and I will rejoice when they finally build I-69 to Evansville from Indy. However, when construction will finally happen, I have no idea- probably not in my lifetime though. IN-66 (Lloyd Expressway) in Evansville took almost 3 years to finish (it was just repavement and widening) and here in Lexington, KY, such a project might take a year at most. I love Indiana, but I don't see why projects seem to take such a long time.

Yep! Some call it the NAFTA superhighway. Regardless, I just want to be able to get to Evansville quicker! They can stop it at the Ohio River for all I care.

Stop it right at the ferry at Cave in Rock, Illinois. Ever been there?

I just hope they never get the section completed. I don't want it to be the Mexican PanAmerican superhighway. Texans are fighting it right now.

I Think That The 1-69/nafta Highway Is A Great Thing It Will Boost The Economies Of The Towns It Will Go Through, It Will Save Time On The Commute To Evansville And Beyond, And It Will Attract People To Mvoe To Our Great State( Hopefully The Good Kind Of People) Which Would Boost The Economy Again, Jobs In Southern Indiana Would Grow Because Of Indiana's Central Location It Would Attract Business From All Over The World! Wouldn't That Be A Great Thing? I Think It Would
