There is a possibility I will be moving from Chattanooga. The towns look
similar in size with riversides, only no mountains or hills in Evansville.

Is the environment progressive or conservative? How is the cost of living?
What is the main economy? Does the town have a young feel? Hows the
weather?
If you do move to Evansville, watch out for DOMERGIRL! She drives crazy fast down Diamond Ave. thinking its I-69!

I don`t know that much about the town itself, but I do remember there are alot of stop lights through the main drag. I mean, it seems like every block has a stop light, all the way through..
You drive through Indiana to get to Illinois from Chattanooga? Why not stay on I-24 to I-57? That will take you all the way to Chicago.

You know how all small towns have a "hub". A big city for shopping, dinner, shows, movies. Evansville is that "hub" for a 3 state area...Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. My son tried to get tickets for Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner's concert March 26. Of course when you wait until the 25th it's hard to find two seats together. When I go there, most of where I go is on the east side of town. They have what I call one mall and one half a mall. (Washington Square needs stores! lol) Plenty of restaurants of different price ranges, several theaters. But I try to steer clear of the area after Thanksgiving, especially as it gets closer to Christmas! lol Just don't forget to come across the river and visit us Kentuckians sometime!

Nice job giving out incorrect information... Evansville is only about 11% black, according to the census statistics, and City Data stats. So you're not even *close* with your statement.
