Brown County is a neat place. Scenic park. Quaint shops.
We went during the Fall, but I bet Spring would be a good time, too.

for places to visit I really like the Lafayette area. When in the mood I will go visit the grounds of Fort Ouiatenon. This is close to the area where the real fort was founded and it's a nice little area sitting on the Wabash River. The site was founded the the French in 1717. For a better historical view check out this site: Ouiatenon History
After that we then go to Battleground to visit the battleground where the Shawnee chief Tecumseh's brother the Prophet led a strike force and attacked General William Henry Harrison. This battle broke the back of the American Indian tribes in Indiana and also helped propel Harrison to the presidency of the US.
After that, dinner at Arnie's Pizza

I really hope Ft Wayne keeps the Lincoln museum. We don't have all that many museums here . All these suggestions are good. Thanks for starting this post ShadowCaver . This was a great idea!

Arni's is great pizza. I've only been to Lafayette once in my life (my wife has family there) and we ate at Arni's. The Jr. salad was probably one of the best salads I've ever had, and the pizza is very good and unique. Now when my in-laws go back there to visit, we make them bring us back some Arni's to PA.

Pizza
Some places I like for pizza are any of the Bruno's Pizza in Goshen, Elkhart, Mishawaka, South Bend area, though most have very limited dine in seating. It's mostly for take out. But the pizzas are huge and loaded with cheese and sauce. I'm the type of person that can eat several pizzas from papa johns and pizza hut and I can usually only finish one and a half slices from Brunos. Another good one in Mishawaka is Giannetto's Pizza in the 100 Center. They have some very good deep dish pizza.

If Arni's is owned by the same people that own Arni's here in Columbus, it's one of the absolute worst pizzas I've ever eaten.

This be them? Arni's - Menu and Locations
Haven't tried Arni's yet - but, guess could be case of one person's favourite is at times another's worst ever... Back 'home' in Missouri, there are two local pizza joints that for the most part one group will absolutely love [Alex's ], and then another place [Pryor's] that is not good. Of course, a couple friends have the opposite belief - however, they just must be uneducated meth fiends... j/k - 'inside' joke on the MO section...
