Doubt if you ever will Breezy! I lived away from Indiana 24+ yrs and never got over missing "home". Now I am grateful for every minute I am here. I hope you get to come back again sometime. Just seeing all the gorgeous pictures here is a real treat!

If you could you give me any idea on what to expect I will appreciate it.

Hi Swisher,
I have never lived in Indy, but my cousin did for many years. Its a great place, just dont get caught on 469 in the dead of rush hour! I love the Carmel area and the downtown. Very vibrant city, you will like it. For outdoor activities, you cant beat Brown County which is just to the west of Indy. The hiking, camping and many winter activities are great, plus shopping in Nashville is good anytime of the year.
Housing in Indiana is very affordable. Here in Elkhart, we havent seen the big downturn other areas of the country have had, its still a buyers market and I hear that Indy had some great deals to be had. If you need a realtor, I would be glad to recommend one, just let me know.
Hope your move goes smoothly and you enjoy living here!

Thanks Gdude for the correction of placement on Brown County...I was last down there for the Bluesfest and I thought we headed to Indy and then hung a right, but it was such a good time, my memory is a bit fuzzy Still, its not far from Indy, as I recall??

Nice pics Gdude!!
And hate to burst your other bubble, jodyrose, but it's "465", not "469". You get a pass on that though, since you never actually lived there! Thanks for sharing the pics!
