Has anybody tried playing with google earth street view? I loaded latest version and was able to to revisit some old stomping grounds in South Bend and North Liberty this weekend. Not the greatest quality but it did give me some idea how some things have changed in some places and how some areas have stayed pretty much the same in nearly 30 years that I have been gone. Not every street is pictured but there was enough that I was able to get a feel of the area again.
Does anyone have any old pics of North Liberty, South Bend, or surrounding areas?

I will be upload pictures of these places when I post more pictures on here.

I went to college with a woman who was part of that last NLHS graduating class. John Glenn was also a big rival of ours in HS (Bremen)

Hoosier Hill is just a few miles north of Richmond. I visited there for the first time in 2007. Pretty sad considering I was born and raised here.

I have plenty more pics of eastern Indiana that I can post. Not to mention I'm always taking photos. I love living here in Indiana. I hear people all the time saying they would leave here if it weren't for one excuss after another. I was born here in Richmond 40 years ago yesterday. I lived in Indianapolis for a few years. Attended Arsenal Technical High School while I lived there. I have a lot of good memories there, but Richmond will always be my home.

I want to give back to my hometown. Teach my kids to revitalize what they have around them. And to NOT run away. If we want our community to be successful we have to make it successful. Don't expect some big outside company to come in and save the day.

Hey!! I live in Western Indiana ( Hendricks County area) hence my location Western Hoosierland on the bar on the top right. I love Indiana!! Born and raised in Indiana! I would never leave Indiana. When I get older ( I am 16) I would love to give back to my hometown and teach kids to help the community and not destroy it or run away. We have to make our communities look attractive to the big wigs not drive hours to major cities like Indy-Evansville-FTWayne etc..
