Thanks. I just went to Brown Co. yesterday and forgot the camera, second time that happened. Anyways, I am going to start trying to get out more. I have photos from my out west trip back in 2007. While Indiana won't ever compare to Glacier NP, Yellowstone, Devil's Tower, etc. (my opinion), it is nice to have similar scenery, just on a smaller scale. I really need to try and make it a point to drive to some of our state parks and get some more hiking in. Only costs about $30 in gas and I could always pack a lunch to save money. Turkey Run is just plain awesome. Would like to hit Brown Co., the Hoosier Nat'l Forest, Spring Mill, and Shades next year.

We made it to every state park one year it is good to do that at least once to see what is available. Another year we went camping in all the major ones.

Default Third from left.

If you've been to Ferdinand the Sisters of St. Benedict have a convent there. WWW.thedome.org The picture is of a model of the buildings on the property. I suggest everyone make it there at least once.

The wife won't do the camping thing. She would at a min. need an RV, for clean showers/restrooms. This winter, I am going to make it a mandate to hit up Pokagon State Park. I really want to try the toboggan track. Might even plan an over-night stay, as I have never really been to Ft. Wayne to see what there is there.

The toboggan slide is a blast and the Inn was very nice been a few years since we were up there though. We took a tour with the Ranger of non public areas at night saw amazing herds of deer. It was breath taking when the moon reflected off the snow.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up.

If you go to Fort Wayne in the winter, dont miss a trip to the Botanical Gardens downtown. Its really neat to see and feel all tropical type stuff when you have just come in from a cold snowy day.

I really miss FTW!
