that road is absolutly nuts! on fridays and saturdays its always backed up from target to circuit city. the intersection of Beam road and 31 is messed up. the 25th street junction is even worse. ranked most dangerous intersection in columbus. i think they need to make 31 4 lanes, with a left turn lane included, and they need to do it fast.
anyone else agree? just want oppinions.. ![]() |

That's so funny! I feel the same way and avoid National Road at all costs. I take Rocky Ford to Taylor to get to CC and Taylor to Marr to get to Target. I also take Central over to 7th to get to Lowe's etc. I don't think they'll have much luck in the near future widening 31 ... they have to buy up, or take up land. Did you see some of the front yards that were chopped when they widened Rocky Ford this summer?

oh ya i rode my bike on rocky ford several times this summer. that was nuts! i turned left into a neighborhood and got out on marr. that intersection of marr and rocky ford needs a trafic signal i think.

Definitely! It's a great intersection now, but it's too spread out to effectively see other people. And now that it's fully intertwined with the People Trail, which is great, it's even more hazardous. Traffic signal for sure! I wonder if their widening of Rocky Ford was a way to ease traffic on National.

you know, it could be another road to go through, i thought it was a good idea to widen it because its a big residential road, just like southport road up in southern indy, and alot of people use it for commutes. but its a fact that stop signs in these situations are killers!
but atleast 31 isnt as bad 50 in seymour. that town is just messed up when it comes to streets... i dont like that place at all. |

o wow you gotta go see it, you will be shocked. indiana 11 doesnt go through straight north and south... i dont think any street does. same way east to west, except for 50. thats the only road that goes straight through any direction. oh and you gotta see 50 when a train goes by. 50 is backed up for miles i heard, actually all the streets are. and theres only 2 or 3 traffic lights in that town besides the ones on 50. every thing else is stop signs. man i hate going through seymour. its ugly, dirty, and crazy drivers.
50 kinda looks like US 31 up in greenwood, but 4 lanes, and railroad tracks, and millions of stoplights in the wrong spots. |
