Default Evansville

Hello. I'm a high school senior just doing the college application thing.
I've applied and been accepted to the University of Evansville.

I was just wondering what some of you may be able to tell me about the university or the city itself.

Thanks in advance for any help!

UE is a really great school and congrats on your acceptance! UE is very highly regarded (and the price reflects it). I, too, was accepted to the University but went instead to the University of Southern Indiana, also in Evansville, which was more moderately priced for someone like me. Everyone is great at UE, as I have many friends who attend there. The campus is beautiful and older, but beware, it can flood if the rains really pour. The dorms kinda suck, but college dorms do.

Evansville is a nice, safe city with not a whole lot to do. Movies, bowling, restaurants, ice-skating, and your basic entertainment are here, but more the upscale things are for aged 21 and older. But being in college, you'll find friends who can make even a place like Evansville fun! Don't expect the entertainment like Louisville, St. Louis, Indianapolis, or Nashville, but those major cities are all in a easy driving distance. Lots of students will take a weekend retreat to one of these cities for a fun time.

If you have any more questions, feel free to post!
