Proper Interview Attire in Warsaw, Indiana
Hello All –
I’m winding down & just steps from decision-making Re: my move to Warsaw from California. Having lived in the 4 corners of the country, proper dress codes vary widely from region to region & I was wondering what would be considered proper attire for an interview in Warsaw, in a corporate or medical, secretarial or administrative assistant position? From the posts, I get the feeling that Warsaw corporate environments differ a bit, therefore, dress codes between the two would too, I’d imagine?
I’m a very nervous interviewee, so I’d love to at least walk in looking like I fit into the company/area.
I can always remove a suit jacket for a more casual look, if necessary, but my main concern is suit color/fabric & shoes.
I’d appreciate any help & thank you for the time in answering. I’m Male, by the way.
Been out of the interviewing process for a few years, I'm afraid. Shaking (just a bit)
Cheers, very much, then… Bugz

For a job interview, no matter what, even if they tell you it's office casual, you have to wear a suit. Conservative suit and shirt, maybe some pattern on the tie .. yes, a tie. Don't go black, but you can never go wrong with shades of blue. It's still kind of nippy, so you won't die in a wool suit and, as you know, you can always take off the jacket.
Breathe, you'll be fine. Present yourself as yourself, your resume will speak for itself, it got you in the door. Now they want to see if you'll fit in and get along with people.
Best of luck!

Stop at Men's Warehouse and you'll be fine for Warsaw; and if you already have a circle beard, or can grow one by then, you're golden for an interview in any Indiana business.

I would go with the suit as well. I interviewed in IN last year and I wore a jacket with a pastel colored shirt and tie. Many colleagues did more casually than I, and I believe I even 'beat out' the administrators I met. I did amazingly well in the end. You should too. And I didn't feel a need then, or now, to grow a beard, although I had one come up in 5 days vacation that I managed until the following weekend. I currently do not wear suits, ties, or dress shirts at my place of business, and that is to fit in. Appropriate slacks and comfortable shirts are the daily requirements in my profession. Best of luck.

Yea, not sure where the goatee thing is coming from, but for an interview, go clean.

For Zimmers I would go with a suit, because they would be impressed with that. Some other places not so much, but Zimmers definitely so.
what about an Army haircut, would that be ok for an interview?

I think the circle beard comment was a crack on the Amish who live in the area.
You can't go wrong with a navy blue or grey-to-charcoal suit with a white or light blue shirt. Nothing double-breasted, and I'd skip the pocket square.
