Glad to see my favorite city checking in. Will be in town next month!

That was freaky. Ok, I'll take tornados any day over an earthquake. At least with tornados, you have a chance of knowing they are coming.

I first was woken up by the sound of my stuff rattling. I thought it was my cat scratching on the floor, but then I felt the bed shaking. That was really weird. I'm on the west side of Indianapolis.

My mom just called. She said Evansville had damaged structures (probably the old buildings downtown) They live 40 minutes north of Evansville & had things falling off the walls.

Goodness!

We felt it in St. Louis, too. Mostly a light rumble that lasted about a minute. No major damage, though they are investigating a bridge in the area...

Down in Bloomington, the first one woke all of us up, even the two teenagers! I was asleep and woke up pretty confused as to what was happening. First thought was a tornado, but I was confused because it wasn't raining. Windows and blinds were rattling, as was the TV in our bedroom. The house was shaking for about 60-90 seconds. I know because I looked at the alarm clock.

The second one was just a few seconds long. The guys mowing our yard didn't notice it outside on their lawn tractors, but we felt a rumble inside. The first report was that it was an aftershock, but the USGS is now calling it a second earthquake.
