Bloomington people...
Hi,
Can you tell me how the Ramada is in Bloomington? We're coming for a visit in May, and we are looking for a centrally located hotel/motel in a convenient area with an indoor pool. Trying to keep costs down. Thanks so much.

gimme it--are you sure the Ramada is still open? There is one hotel that at one point was a Ramada, next a Holiday Inn, then an independent, and now is something else? To my knowledge there is not a Ramada in Bloomington. Do you have the address?
I think I would go with the Hampton instead. Courtyard by Marriott was also reasonably priced when I used to stay there on occasion.

The Quality Inn isn't by the mall really. It's just off of 37 and the 45/46 bypass.
I've not heard anything positive or negative about it.

We booked a room at the Hilton Garden, which is near the downtown. I hope it's okay. I can't wait to see your city.

I know people that have stayed there and liked it. The only "complaint" I've heard is that the bar/restaurant is not the greatest. Since you'll be downtown you'll have lots of other choices anyway.

Thanks for the feedback. Just curious, what's your favorite downtown restaurant and your favorite park? Thx

There's a new restaurant that is getting national buzz called Farm Bloomington ... rrah, have you tried it yet? If it didn't take me an hour to go 35 miles from Columbus to Bloomington, I would have been there to try it already.

Bryan Park? I think that was the name of it. But honestly, campus is like one giant park. I loved to nap in that big space by the library, or if I wanted to nap in the shade, in front of the Union. I miss IU!!
