Hello. Our family is in the concrete construction business. We are thinking of relocating to Indiana. Business here in Michigan is very slow and there is not much work here.

How are things in Indiana? If anyone can tell us how the real estate market and/or new construction is going, please let us know.

God bless,
forgiven

FORGIVEN, your best bet would be Indy or Ft. Wayne, as both have solid construction markets right now. Southern Indiana is also booming, especially around Gibson, Pike, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties, but that will put you far from hearth and home in the beautiful state of Michigan. May JEHOVAH bless and protect you!

Do a google search on concrete companies in Indy. There was a company that if I remember correctly that had a stangle hold on the market and got busted for price fixing.

Outside of that around Indy there is only 2 seasons. Winter and construction

The concrete business is good here, I have known a couple of people who where in this line of work and they both are doing well. All I can say is give it a try. The counties all around Indianapolis are growing like crazy, and everyone needs concrete work. The salt that people use around here eats there concrete every winter.
