Since this thread got bumped, I will update this.

The first section is opened and signed. It is only 2 miles, but it is open at the Evansville end from I-64 to the next exit at SR 68. Daniels recently gave INDOT a 2012 deadline to have it completed from Evansville to Crane.

Meanwhile, the Bloomington Aged Hippie Town Council has been playing games with INDOT. They have refused to include I-69 in any of the transit planning. This is obviously a conflict with INDOT plans and could potentially cause a delay in federal funding. INDOT recently informed them that they will withhold funding for other state projects, such as the SR-46 widening. Hopefully this will get the attention of these elitist and we can get this thing completed.

I thought they worked out their differences and this was resolved. I guess not?

Yes, toxic toast, it was resolved. BTW -javahoe, it wasn't just the B-ton City Council. It was the Monroe County transportation planning committee.
