Any good place to "retire" in southern Indiana?
Currently we live in northwest Indiana and we are looking to "retire" in about a year or less. My husband is on disability and I'm self employed. We can go anywhere (affordable) as long as I have internet access. We are looking for scenic country, hills, rocks, trees, but we're on a budget as well. Need to know there is a health clinic not too far away. Don't want any city life but don't want to be too isolated, either. Am I asking too much?

Lawrence County is a perfect place for what you are asking for.

Candy T,
Columbus is a great place to retire. Close to Brown County State Park and Nashville, IN.
Columbus, Indiana Convention and Visitors Bureau
Good Luck on your decision.

Thank you everyone for your input. What you don't know about us is how nature-orientated we are. We are planning a trip to the Brookville area this fall. Nature trails, clear fishing waters and dark skies at night--so we can see the stars.

You'll get that in Brookville, but you'd be missing out on Brown County!
