I log a lot of miles with my job, all within the state and I see something in various towns that Clay County, IN never offered... till now.
A Gospel House.
As I travel, I see Christian Coffee Houses... Gospel Barns... even an occasional gospel shack, but nothing of the like in Clay County. Again, till now.
Starting this coming Friday (June 13th) and on the 2nd Friday of each month there's going to be a Gospel House in Clay County, IN and it's just off of the Interstate (I-70).

Intersection of St Hwys 42 & 59, just south of I-70.
Starts at 7:00pm.
Each month’s program will offer an “open mic” time, where local singers may bring their backup tape or CD track and take a turn singing their favorite gospel song. The New City Quartet will be the host of the Gospel House and will serve as the “House Band”. Additionally, there will be a “featured” group on a monthly basis. New City Quartet and Live Gospel Band will be the featured group in June and the James Family Singers will be the featured group in July (July 11th). Visit New City's web site at:

Friends and fans of gospel music are invited to attend this gospel event and get involved in gospel singing. There is no admission fee, but a free will offering will be taken to assist with paying the banquet room rental. Clarifications or questions may be addressed by calling 812-236-4351.
